About Shenzhen

While there are just a few of the historical attractions situated in the area, the Shenzhen is the city in China, north of Hongkong, to have been built with so many attractive and excellent theme parks where tourists and Chinese people would love to spend the day at. Located in the southern part of the Guangdong province of China, adjacent to Hongkong, the city of Shenzhen is a neighbor of the Pearl River Delta. It was once called as the Baoan County, a small village where fishing was the major economic trend. When the Special Economic Zone started in the year 1979, the city was renamed as the Shenzhen. Traveling to Shenzhen is easy because of the three modes of transportation, by air, train, or ship. But local transportation can be a bit confusing, despite the availability of transportation. Buses and cabs are available, though, yet it is advised that you ask for the drop off point and pick up point first before hopping on to the bus for transportation. The economy in Shenzhen is one of the major sources of income in the entire country. The city is the center for all major manufacturing business and the city’s fast growing skyline has been regarded throughout the world as the best one. More than 26 tall buildings with height as tall as 200 meters high, the Shenzhen is a home to some of the tallest buildings in the world such as the Kingkey 100 and the Shun Hing Square. Some of the most successful and high technology companies in China are situated in Shenzhen. Even the best brand of TV comes from Shenzhen. Some of the largest and well-known foreign companies are also found in Shenzhen, along with the largest banks and real estate developers. Shenzhen is indeed an economic zone that provides many opportunities and jobs to Chinese people and to other overseas workers from around the world. Tourist attractions are also present in Shenzhen. Among the major ones are the Chinese Folk Culture Village, Happy Valley, Safari Park, the Window of the World, and many other public parks and theme parks. Hotels and lodge inns are numerous in the city, catering to foreign nationals and travelers, yet most of the tourists would love to spend their stay in the Shekou, a residential community where the French cruise liner usually holds its port. The Sea World also has its ground here. Visitors and travelers love to explore the city of Shenzhen because of its many attractions, dining options, and shopping galore. An exhibition center, three scenic towns, two golf courses with 18 holes, the artificial beach known as the CoCo Beach, over 20 public city parks, theme parks, themed hotels, and a lot of hotels and residences are among the tourist spots to look after when traveling around the city of Shenzhen, making it a trip where no spot should be missed. Taking a trip to Shenzhen would be a lot more comfortable and convenient if planning is made prior to visit.
