Whether it is dining, drinking, cruising or a fun family vacation, Hong Kong’s got it all for you.

Kid-Friendly Attractions

The Avenue of the Stars is a proof of the glamorous, Hong Kong film industry. Visitors can find various movie memorabilia, handprints of celebrities, milestones and commemorative plaques. However, the most iconic attraction is the bronze statue of Bruce Lee. There is also another bronze statue, this time, of the popular pig cartoon character, McDull. Other actors featured in the avenue include Chow Yun Fat and Jackie Chan. Visitors will never be bored because of the different music, dance and drama performances continuously held in the venue. However, the highlight of your visit should be to witness the multimedia show called “A Symphony of Lights”.

Ocean Park Hong Kong is a favorite place among kids and families. Apart from the world-class aquarium with trained dolphins, there are also rides and exhibits inside the famous marine theme park. Ocean Park features various sections connected by cable car or train. You can visit the new Polar Adventure and see winter animals. You can even ride a bobsled while exploring the North and the South Poles. Other sections include the Thrill Mountain, Old Hong Kong, Rainforest, Aqua City and Amazing Asian Animals.

Who would ever forget to visit the Hong Kong Disneyland? Adults and kids alike would surely enjoy the attractions and rides in one of the happiest places on earth. Special occasions and holidays such as Chinese New Year, Christmas and Halloween are made extra special when inside Hong Kong Disneyland. Top attractions include the Mystic Point, Grizzly Gulch and Toy Story Land. Make sure to see the Disney in the Stars Fireworks in the evening.

Other Must-Visit Attractions

Others must visit sites include The Peak, the highest point in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center is near the Golden Bauhinia Square, where the emblem of Hong Kong can be found, the golden Bauhinia sculpture. Stroll down the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. It will lead you the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Clock Tower, Hong Kong Cultural Center and the Hong Kong Space Museum. Finally, drop by the Wong Tai Sin Temple and pay your respects. They say the temple can make your request come true.

Shopping

A Hong Kong vacation would not be fulfilling without a trip to some of the famous night markets. The Ladies’ Market in Kowloon, sells bargain clothes, accessories, home furnishings, cosmetics, trinkets and souvenirs. Be ready with your haggling skills and don on comfortable shoes as the market stretches to a kilometer long Tung Choi Street.

Another must-visit is the Temple Street Night Market and the Tin Hau Temple close to it. Various merchandise items are sold here such as antiques, jade, tea ware, trinkets, men’s clothing, accessories, and electronics. Visitors can also eat at food stalls serving noodles, rice and seafood.
