About Granada

Granada is a city in Spain that is rich in culture and history, but what it is proud of is that it is the city that is most worthwhile for thousands of visitors and travelers from around the world. Located on the foothill of the Sierra Nevada, the Granada is the capital of the province of Granada, Spain and is home to several rivers and the famous palace, the Alhambra. Because of this Moorish citadel of the Andalusia Islamic legacy, the Granada became one of the most popular destinations in the entire European nation. Touring around the Granada city is an experience that must not be taken for granted because the place is filled with rich history and culture. The best way to see the most beautiful city of Spain is by exploring the city with all its convenient bus stops within the city where great views are said to be best viewed on top of the bus. And with all the thirty-four bet restaurants scattered around the city, traveling in Granada will never let you starve. The Restaurante Chikito, one of the most famous historic restaurants in Granada, is the place where the most celebrities feast on. The dishes range from Spanish to Italian to International cuisines, making tourists and travelers have a wider choice when it comes to food and meals. There are said to be lots of architectural and sculptural objects to look after when in Granada, but the city’s greatest treasure and wealth are the palaces of the Alhambra and Generalife. The Generalife palace is famous also for its location and layout because it has the romantic gardens filled with various tropical flowers and plants and the refreshing fountains. The Alhambra, because of its emblematic monument, was declared in the year 1984 by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Travelers would never miss to visit the palace during their stay in Granada. This fantastic palace, covered by the sheer red walls made from cypress and elm woods, is a 1,000 year old complex that resembles most of the Arabian castles especially that it is located at the foot of the beautiful mountain ranges of Sierra Nevada and is surrounded by trees and plants. Its location is a perfect spot to overlook the downtown Granada and the entire city below.Other major Spanish-Muslim architectural arts in Granada are the Cathedral, where the Royal Chapel is included, the Monastery of La Cartuja, and the Palace of Charles V. Many other Catholic churches are found here as well. The Albayzin is a much visited location by tourists because of its landscape, architectural structure, and historical diversity. Hotels in Granada really do not matter much because there are lots of courtyard houses in the Albayzin. It will only take lodgers to walk the hill because cabs are not accessible in the location. There are other budget-friendly hostels, apartments, guest houses, and bed and breakfast lodge-inns to locate for travelers who want to stay on another place within the city of Granada.
